Just got the old 240sx SOHC engine to fire. It hasn't been started in over two years. The distributor was set too far advanced to idle.

  • Wow dude how about you change the motor mounts.

  • when you guys spent serious time working on a lemon you will learn to hate it too !

  • if its been sitting for two years and wont start that means it has stale gas. drop the fuel tank dump the gas. replace the fuel tank and put new gas in. open the fuel line (around the fuel filter is easiest) turn the key over WITHOUT starting the car. just bump the starter. then close the fuel line. this will clean out the bad gas. also take out the spark plugs to air out the bad gas in the motor. then it should start right up. and you need new motor mounts badly.

  • Umm your motor moun ts are/were WAAAAAAAAY dead.

  • it jumped timing...
