Sisters Quartet

Sisters - 2010 Region #24 6th Place Quartet. Lena Harrington-Tenor Age 5, Sylvia Harrington-Lead Age 8, Holly Harrington-Baritone, Tawni Miller-Bass. This is Lena's first Sweet Adelines Regional Quartet competition making her the record holder as the youngest ever to compete in a regional quartet contest (as far as we know). Lena has now broken her sister Sylvia's record as being the youngest on the regional competition stage. In 2008 Sylvia captured 3rd place singing tenor with Paper Dolls quartet (www.paperdollsquartet.com) in Region #4. She was 6 years old. In 2009, at age 7, Sylvia won the Region #24 Quartet contest singing tenor with Paper Dolls which qualified them to go to the International Quartet competition in Nashville in 2009 making Sylvia the youngest regional quartet champion and the youngest to compete in the SAI International Quartet Competition. Sylvia was 7 years old when she competed in the International quartet contest. Holly and Tawni are also members of Paper Dolls Quartet. This Sisters performance marks Tawni's debut on bass, Lena's debut on tenor and Sylvia's debut on lead! Sylvia and Lena are sisters and Holly is their mom. Holly and Tawni are sisters! Lena and Sylvia's dad and Holly's husband, David Harrington (www.studiodh.com) arranged both songs for the quartet to fit their unique voicing needs. The girls stand on boxes so that the sound system will pick up the voices evenly. We hope these girls are an inspiration for all of those young singers out there! Enjoy :)

Y'all chicks ROCK! I've been thoroughly impressed with Sylvia since I heard her sing the tenor part of "Side by Side" with Paper Dolls. It BLEW ME AWAY when I read that Lena is 5...I almost passed out! Holly and Tawni's voices blended so smoothly! I sing bass in Region 25 so I zoned in more on Tawni (You Go, Girl!) Holly, you rock, too! I'm glad we don't have to compete against y'all on the regional level! Love y'all! David, they wouldn't be able to rock if you didn't arrange the songs for them.
