I love my home town of Seattle Wa... Interesting,,, my family are the first people to settle what now is known as Canada... So I'm split in the middle. When I see these posts, that say, " I hate America", it makes me disgusted and sad... When people make a blanket statement that cuts into the country that I love and honor just b/c of politics or hatred, is completely from ignorance... You don't know ME!!!

@beaum1cah we pay a little more but not an incredible amount. the fact is, healthcare cost on average are a lot less in Canada. per capita in canada it is about in 1/2 of the cost per person as it is in the usa

This is a really good story.. I'm an really glad Maureen was able to get the care she needs here in Canada. I don't resent either that she didn't pay into our Tax system her whole life like the rest of us. As Kathleen said at the end .. Health Care is a Human Right for Everyone.. Not just the rich. Don't even resent ya wanting to go home.. Home is Home..
I think Maureen needs to take her story Across America and show the country why our system does work better than theirs.

America is run by people with money helping other people with money. The difference is if you are dying of an illness and have no money in America nobody cares, you will be just number 10000000 on that list. Canada it is the opposite.
