Bob Welch - Ebony Eyes (1978)

Bob Welch , former member of Fleetwood Mac before their huge worldwide success , had some success as a solo singer. This song from 1978 was his biggest hit ... reaching No.3 in Australia.

This original promo video contained a lot of his friends at the time and friends/partners of people involved in the production of this video. Promo clips were not very common at this time ... mostly being just live performances. So having an entertaining clip, added to the success of this song in Australia, as it got shown regularly on TV via "Countdown" to a nationwide audience.

He appeared on Countdown in 1979 performing both this song & his new song "Precious Love".
