I don't understand how people really entertain the idea of GSP vs. Silva. Silva is WAY bigger then GSP. It really wouldn't be close to an even match up. Silva easily walks around at 210 and cuts down no problem to 185. GSP is 185 soaking wet and out of shape. He doesn't do anything to fight at 170. He's already 170 solid muscle. People who think this is a good match up know absolutely nothing. Now lets see Silva fight someone his own size. Silva vs. Jon Jones would be an epic match up.

@slickcrew I also hope GSP kicks the ass of Nick Diaz.Despite he is a great fighter,I don't like him as a person.Same for Nate Diaz.I like GSP a lot,mostly because he is a great guy,but,I think Anderson and Jon Jones are more skilled,principally Anderson.Nowadays,I still have The spider on top,but,I think in some years,Jones will be the next Silva,sweeping everyone,being the future of MMA and the greatest fighter in UFC but not yet.My opinion,just saying

gsp could bulk to 180ish, its not as if he is stacked at 170.

i think the silva vs gsp is the best match up that never happened. could have made alot of money from it if they did it

@TheSweatyfatguy You might be right but I think it would be at least 3 rounds. & it would be 3-5 rounds of Stan giving Silva some of the hardest hits he's ever felt. Can't say that much for a lot of people who have faced Silva. Brian Stann is no joke, and would still be a better fight then GSP vs. Silva witch was my point from the beginning. You think GSP would put a whooping on Brian Stann?

@jayr2l2 I don't know if he'd "fuck him up". Silva does has insane defense, but, Jones is a beast man and he'll bring it with out backing down. And that kid is sharp. It would be interesting to see how Silva handles an offense that's unpredictable like his. I could honestly see it going both ways, but with Silva definitely having the experience advantage.

@chibblywubbly Yeah you might be right. I remember him saying he walked around @180 but that was like 6 years ago too. I agree he's athletic enough for sure to fight there and there would obviously be some really good match ups. I just don't think (IMO) that it would be an exciting fight Silva vs. GSP. There's still good fights that could happen. Sonnen rematch is my #1. Brian Stann vs. Silva would be a good fight as well IMO. Silva vs. Bispbing?? Never been a big fan but he was solid vs Chael.
