if a person not come for prayer and then when he will listen azan same like this, his heart will turn to azan and his all concentration will be in the azan and his foot keeps a step forward towards the mosque !!!!!

Meaning of Azan :
Allah hu Akbar (Allah is the greatest) x 4
Asshadu alla ilah a ill Allah (I testify there is no god but Allah) x 2
Asshadu anna muhammad ar rasool Allah (I testify that muhammad is the messenger of Allah) x 2
Hayya alas salaah (rush to prayers) x 2
Hayya alul falaah (rush to fulfilment) x2
Allahu Akbar (Allah is the greatest) x 2
La ilaha illAllah (there is no 1 worthy of worship but Allah)

search for the 99 names of Allah with translation ... ull get to have a fair idea of what Allah is all about
for further research on Allah .. search for 'Ayat ul kursi' and 'Surah Ikhlas' and its meaning ...
there is no limit in knowing Allah cause Allah is infinite ...
but this would be a great start

Hello and blessings to all, i dont understand very much of what is said in the adhan, but the message is so beautiful and powerful it brings tears to my eyes. for my whole life i have lived inside a devout christian family but after reading and researching islam, it is almost as if GOD himself is guided me towards it. GOD willing i will be shown the way of the light once again in my life..
