    This is an ornamental cultivar. The one commonly sold as edible is a variety called 'Goldgelber'. Whether you can eat the ornamental types I don't know.

  • Yes Portulaca is the genus of purslane. However when people refer to portulaca they ofter are referring to another plant of the genus called moss rose.
