The only problem that Lucia Popp faced as a vocalist was in finding melodies that were (literally) worthy of her instrument. Her performance of In Trutina is undeniably definitive, but I far prefer her in more complex, dramatic music.

How superb! I love to watch Lucia sing because the joy she found in singing beautiful music is always written in her sweet face. Her life was too short but she did what she loved throughout it. In that sense, she was blessed.

love this .. great soprano.. and friends who don't like opera.. hold out.. the hight notes are excuizite .. ok i have no idea how to spell that.. this is such lovely music..
