Marika Bournaki: "Adventures of a Drama Queen"

Prodigal pianist Marika Bournaki reveals a humorous side of her personality during her nationwide debut on National Public Radio's "From the Top", which profiles top young classical musicians around the world.

The NPR producers throw Marika a curve ball when they ask her to not only perform on the piano for the sold out, capacity crowd, but to act in the starring role for a self-effacing radio skit written just for her..."Adventures of a Drama Queen".

The tongue in cheek radio skit is inspired by Marika's real-life drama that occurs each time she must sit down to 'make friends' with a new piano at a new worldwide venue.

Never one to turn down a challenge, Marika rises to the occasion of method acting, and brings down the house! This NPR show aired across America nationwide in October 2008, although Marika will undoubtedly continue her dramatic interludes with each new piano she meets around the world in 2009. Stay tuned!
