Remember the Spanish Inquisition, the french revolution and the Nazi concentration camps when you think about the tribulation. Those three institutions where only a testing ground for things to come. God's people will suffer, they will be killed as 8IT4U said. Only the 144.000 will be kept save. And yes these things are coming fast right now, so be prepared.

Revelation gives us quite a good idea of what will happen but we must remember that Gods thoughts are not our thoughts & His ways are not our ways therefore the exact way it all plays out could quite possibly be different to how we imagined.I know personally from my own experience that things I have prayed for and even prophesies I have received have ended up playing out quite differently to how I was expecting.I think the main thing we need to draw from this is to be ready & stay close to Him

if you dont think Gods people wont go through tribulation and for some death....you are greatly fooled my friend. once the 144000 are sealed, they will be protected...but many will loose their lives before that. there is NO secret rapture
