I read in Waldners biography that this is one of his hardest match that he lost mentally.And after this he trained hard to be better in the backhand play, and so he did and took revenge at the summer olympics in Barcelona same year.He also said he never trained so hard before a tournament as he did before the Olympics.

When Waldner was asked when he was the most nervous during a match in his professional career, he said that is was probably during this 1992 euro-championship match against Primorac. Waldner would get revenge in the 1994 Euros and then again in the 1997 worlds when he destroyed Primorac 3-0
