Tornado being towed away to Loughborough Central from Quorn and Woodhouse Station on the Great Central Railway.

@dwsabianguy - spot on. It has three sets of walschearts, centre cylinder inclined, as opposed the Gresley/Holcroft 2-1 conjugated valve gear.

@simierski Yeah, I ended up looking it up after I posted the comment, thanks - for some reason I was under the impression that it had two cylinders. What kind of valve gear does it have? That doesn't sound like Gresley valve gear...

@dwsabianguy - that's because Tornado has three cylinders, not four, and has three times per revolution (as per the number of cylinders). It is more exhaust, in fewer beats. Around the same efficiency I'd say to a similarly powered four cylinder locomotive (Stanier princess/duchess locomotives).
