@rswarrior1700 a company called MKE got the mp5 machinery....i actually got to test one a few weeks ago....very nice, exactly the same as the original....of course H&K sold their machinery to them
@fireball676 Well PTR got the original H&K mold and machinery for their G3 series guns, in order to do the same for the MP5 they would need the same machining equipment to create a 100% clone of the MP5 and redsign it from the ground up themselves.
Now you see the Umarex and ATI .22lr MP5 clones. While they look the same externally (basically a outer shell), the internals is different and basically enclosed in that outer shell.
@Southern661 well the thing that is so desirable about the mp5 is its short compact reliable design....when you put a fake supressor on it and pin it to the barrel you allow the person to choose weather he wants to unpin it and register it as an sbr....however recently i figured out why nobody is producing them anymore.....every company except the turkish manufacturers got sued for making copys by h&K....therefore no clone anymore....g3's are fair game though.
@fireball676 Why a fake supressor? Why not just a logner barrel? It will give you more velocity, and you could put a barrel shroud (You know, them shoulder thingys that go up?) on it so the commie liberals can shit their pants.
i cant really understand why a company like ptr91 hasnt picked up on the mp5 style guns....they could make them and pin a fake suppressor to the front of the barrel so when you took it off you could register it as a SBR....they did it with the G3 why not the mp5....pretty lame
why madman?

Where can you find a 40 cal MP5? The 9mm is one thing, but the .40?
