Ilyana meets Starbuck the Jack-a-Poo

Our daughter Ilyana has wanted a dog since she could talk. About 2 months ago she renewed her efforts by doing some research and putting together a Powerpoint presentation on the pros and cons of doggy ownership because she didn't think we were taking her seriously(!). We told her we'd think about it and make a decision later on in the year... then we surprised her with a puppy for her 11th birthday! We didn't want her to suspect anything right until the last minute, so her dad carried him through in a Xerox paper box.

The two months of lying to her about where we were going once a week (to see pup) and the sneaking about, hiding dog toys and supplies at the back of my wardrobe, were so worth it when we gave him to her.

i love this video, i have wanted a puppy for 13 years and still havent got one :( and probabily wont get one untill i am around 30 :/ but i love her reaction and this is most likely what i would have been like lol x

I got a jackadoodle puppy 6wks ago and he is the cutest thing, you daughters reaction to getting her adorable puppy was lovely and I hope now 2 years have passed they are both ok! My puppy is nearly 13wks old and his name is Seve, named in memory of the legendary golfer. Take care x
