The investigators said there was a problem with the painter or painters. There friend offers to paint the house for them. So what was the problem with the original painter. In California there are a lot of illegal aliens who take painting and construction jobs. So were there illegals working for them? The man and woman crossing into Mexico did not look like the Mc Stays but the kids did look like the Mc Stay kids. Maybe a strange couple killed the Mcstays and kept the kids..

i don't think a person who refers her dog as her first child would leave her dog no food and disappear like that.

Maybe they were just shopping for some cool decorations or something for the house? After all they just went toy shopping.. Something bad must have happened when they met up with the wrong peeps.. Could also be that they secretly sold drugs (they did have 100,000$ in their savings) and were going to make a deal and it went bad.

How horrible for the family. The "not knowing" has to be the hardest to live with. No one would just walk away from a hundred thousand in the bank. Hopefully this will be solved either by finding the bodies or a phone call out of the blue. So sad.
