I found this old nixie controller board at a flea market, bought some 8421 tubes on eBay, and added a second board with timekeeping logic (AVR microcontroller and DS1307 real-time clock) to drive it.

It's in my office at work and runs on a programmed schedule; the display automatically turns off at night to conserve the tubes, and doesn't turn on at all on weekends.
