Jason Oglesbee rescues a woman below the Center Street dam in Des Moines. I had to zoom in from my balcony three blocks away so the resolution is not great. Jason is an appropriate name. Jason, of Argonaut fame was one of the main heroes in Greek mythology. I take my kayak here often so I know this section of the river - try "kayak on the des moines river" in YouTube.

The next time you see a construction crew on the side of the road who appear not to be doing anything, just imagine that they're taking a break after saving someone's life. It could be the case.

The quality of the film is not clear, but from where it is taken, it shows exactly how the accident happened.
The news footage I have seen didn't shown the waterfall.
The rescue is dramatic, like a scene from a movie!

To bad the guy didn't make it. The construction worker was a burly dude and is a hero I think.
