Here is my recently acquired Holroyd winch belted up to my Wolseley WD2. It features a 20:1 reduction worm gear and as you can see, would lend itself handsomely as a 90 degrees flat belt reduction drive. I don't currently have a use for this so would welcome suggestions or maybe offers of a good home. Would be perfect for driving hand cranked machinery, a butter churn... tell me your ideas.
PS The ad. at the end dates from 1947.
@enginelover1 nope not cutting up the scrap one. Thats too good an engine. I love that thing... as I have to many suffolks (all running) the cut away will made with a once running engine. Should look good. But I want something like this reduction gearbox to run the cut away slowly

Hi, I have been considering making a sectional engine. Using one of my many suffolk engines.... I think this reduction gearbox might be perfect... as it would be nice to have the Suffolk turning over slowly. Showing how it works. Therefore I may be interested in buying it. Thanks, Dan
