this looks like the same things as what looper does

@CliffThaRiff thanks for the reply... whew i was ready to punch the screen. calmed down now. looks the the new 'looper' effect mimics the classic looper pedal way of recording. always thought it would be a given function considering how powerful ableton is as a loop based platform. thanks again.

so if you dont hit record fast enough, it'll record over what you just recorded? why cant you keep adding to the same loop without having to hit the key? sorry i'm just super frustrated. creativity killed for today!

@liennto I know the feeling. I'm sure there's a way to macro the keyboard so you can push a series of buttons and it'll make another track to record on. I never really thought about it before. I'd go to the Ableton channel and see if they have anything like that.

how do you make a shortcut for activating midi overdub? its nowhere to be found how you do this.

@ElAlexxis I haven't experimented with MIDI dubbing (since I've premade the drum track in this video) but I would think you could arm it and then do I what I did and macro a keyboard button to the record button at the top. It should work from there.

that ain't over dubbing. you're using different tracks. YOU'RE A PHONY!!!!

@monkiman818 It's overdubbing on different tracks while the other one is playing. You can overdub the same track, but I chose to use different tracks to make a song out of it.
