Implosion of the J.L. Hudson Department Store Building in Downtown Detroit on October 24, 1998. With a height of 439 feet and an area of 2.2 million square feet, it is the tallest steel-framed building and largest single structure ever imploded. I shot this footage just a few blocks away, on top of One Woodward Avenue, looking to the NW.
