  • @Aepotheosis you're racist too? Typical of a 'Christian', after all, the bible condones slavery and racism. And, no, it's 'your', NOT 'you're'. 'You're' is a contraction of 'you are' and 'you are attitude' doesn't make an ounce of sense.

  • Twitching egg man is slightly terrifying.

  • @gravitybongo I think it's hard to say where they differ, because those experiences with homophobia could trigger a mental illness, in the sense that maybe he was already predisposed to one and they didn't help him any. It's hard to separate those things into boxes, because they could easily influence each other or have a relationship. It could develop because of the homophobia and abuse, or those could have worsened his manic depression. I don't think they could be easily separated really.

  • Okay so Im not trying to start up controversy because I know how passionately steves fans will defend him. but in his case can someone explain the difference between someone who was scarred by being gay in a society that was openly hateful towards gays plus the fact that he was scarred by his crappy relationship with his father who he said always ignored him. Whats the difference in those things and being "manic depressive"? sounds like cause and effect but steve talks like the two are unrelated

  • @coolsdon omg you are a complete dickhead. I had a decent argument lined up but can't be arsed to trot it out now. Drugs can exacerbate mental illness but why do you think people get into drug use to start with, a lot of the time? It isn't about getting high when you're so far through the damn floor in the first place.

And there isn't "More mental illness around," it's just slightly more acceptable to talk about it, except to fucktards like you who think anyone only ever mentions it spitefully

  • I think it's almost impossible to hear Stephen Fry speak about such things without having an immense respect for him, even if (like my nana) you're not a huge fan. He certainly inspires me to be a better person.

  • @middy444 well suppsoe they were talking about your manner as a person and came to the conclusion that the biggest part of you as a human being and decided that you weren't a person at all but just attitude typing away at a keyboard
