Billy was Plt Sgt of No 8 Pltn to our No 9 Pltn at Guards Depot Pirbright, Sept 1985 to june 1986, He had some excellent instructors with him, Byron Cordy etc. Bumped into his brother years later at Senior Brecon, Colour Sgt then, Major now as I under stand, Nicky I think, Very serious soldiers, we had Wayne Levy, Billy Ingles, Niffy Hill, and Ron Smith as Plt Sgt, with Oliver Smart as Plt Commander.

WO1 GSM WDG 'Billy' Mott, OBE. While I have never met the man, I have certainly HEARD him, and he is impressive to hear. As well as remarkably funny, as long as you're not under the lash of his tongue. :)

billy motts brother"nicky mott" was my platoon sarn in 1990 then his third brother was my company sarn in pirbright ! Some very bad ass boys i tell you.
