I had NO IDEA that Bowie - BOWIE! - wrote a song about Uncle Floyd. Wow...
I met Floyd in the early 80s & spoke to him about the show. I was in a band then & I asked him how to get on the show. He gave me the number for the producer (talent booker) but you had to have a full album out. Of course, did you see some of the "bands" that were on the show, esp AFTER '84? Bleh...
