@DoninWhiting Mendelssohn was not "won over" from his Jewish faith. His parents decided to renounce their Judaism for the sake of integration and social advancement and had Felix baptised as a Lutheran when he was only seven years old.

Very Nice. Emma. Menelssohn had a love for God, born out the influence of Martin Luther's hymns and Bach's St. Matthew Passion, which won him over from his Jewish faith. He
was blessed by God and gifted with his composition abilities. Thank you David Hill.
