On September 9th, 2007, Buffalo Bills tight end Kevin Everett suffered severe spine injury after a helmet to helmet tackle.

I think it was a great move by the Bills to keep him on the active roster long enough for him to qualify for lifetime disability benefits. And it was great to see him walk on stage for interviews under his own power. He wont be able to play again but he can walk.
