  • I do believe that was Lander's whole point in this ballet - it's inspired by ballet classroom exercises. Like it or not (and not everyone does), it's one of ballet's most often-performed, popular ballets for whatever reason..a good one-act technical showpiece filler ballet. It's in the reps of ABT, Kirov, Paris Opera Ballet, among others. I think Landers choreographed it as a showpiece for his famous ballerina wife, Toni...

  • @boonchuey I think they are Izabella Sokolowska and Dawid Kupinski to the left. No idea about those to the right though.

  • @polandjesus That shouldn't be a hinder. They are proffesional dancers, and are supposed to be as fluid en pointe as without shoes. The males have to jump higher and turn more, and we (the girls) have to do the stuff en pointe - without the arms getting affected. Believe me, i know from experience..
