Hi, I plan on making a tutorial about MusE, a MIDI/Audio sequencer for Linux. However, there are still a few things I have to solve before I can complete it.

This video shows an example of recorded MIDI keyboards (Yamaha PSR 500). The fragment is from "Golden Brown" by "The Stranglers". I used the master track to create the right time signature (12/8 to count off, then 13/8 and finally 12/8 again).
I use the Combined Harpsichord samples from FluidSynth, and when I play it back the sound often glitches as you can hear in the second cycle.

How can I solve this?

  • So if you have having problems you should ask the developers for help on the muse-user mailing list. See the website. Looks like there are lots of xruns happening. You need to optimize the system so that jack runs better or change settings in qjackctl.
