turbine legend "garrett edition"

this is a little vid of the garrett powered legend, fastest legend out there with near 1100 hp and a cruise speed of OVER 350 knots (i know, as i built the thing, and fly in it often)

How would this compare with the new Viper Fan Jet? Great vid btw.

both are close in size with the legend being a bit smaller.

both share the same top speed

vipers a bit more heavy

both share the same approx range...... but the fuel load for the legend is 120 + 40 (long range) gal and the vipers is 250 + 70 (l.r.)..... thats the biggest difference right there

climb for the legend is higher via 2000ish fpm

stall speed is 5 kts faster for the viper...

personally i lover the viperjet and would love to build one... who knows, might happen :-)

@b1cc2 People utterly destroy otherwise great videos with music. I turn the sound down so I can at least enjoy the visuals. These are the same kind of people who move next to you way out in the country where it is nice and peaceful and quiet and play gangster rap that can be heard for miles.

Dollars to poutine that if you threw on a 4-blade Garret you could get that last 50 knots and cruise at 400....throttle back to, say, 270 and you could maybe make it from Bellingham, WA to Anchorage, Alaska in one hop?
