This is how you make a loopback for networking diagnostics. Also many other uses. I used mine as a keychain.

  • hi can u show how run diag on with laptop

for pc has just hardware building new system but no display i want run a diag on it to see if all things are work

  • If you're talking about a ping with the loopback (assuming that you use windows) then hit WINKEY+R and type cmd and press enter. Try pinging yourself by typing "ping 1.0.0.127" or look online for other commands in command prompt.

  • I apologize for the poor audio quality. Some family members just had to practice their band instruments while I was recording.

  • Great !

  • great!

  • @seanfox2 Hi, Sean - you need to ping 127.0.0.1 to hit the nic and see if there's continuity. Good video, too, son!

  • @seanfox2 Sorry to say but you got the loop back address mixed up. It's 127.0.0.1

  • your a fag

  • This is a wonderful video! I just wanted to let whoever watches it know that if you are testing (most times you will be) a NIC then wires 4,5,7,8 are not necessary to loop back to the connector. Those pins are used mainly in VoiP. I will make a vid response soon showing how you can make one with just cable, scissor, and a knife.

I am not degrading this video because i never would of thought to use it as a keychain and this video really shows how to make a universal looback rj-45.

    Great Vid!

  • Hey buddy,Great stuff. You have a bright future ahead of you. Thanks for taking your time and expertise to explain. God bless
