  • I see the safety valves are lifting continiously, is the rate of firing adjustable via radio control?

  • @LMatters1 - the burner is controlled manually on the locomotive, but as the loco had been sat for a while it had built up excessive pressure, the short train meant the loco was not being worked hard so excess steam was still produced. Normally I run my loco's with the burner set so the loco never blows off.

  • @music1radio Thanks for that info. I'm after a radio controlled loco that is capable of slow, rather than fast, running (in other words, finely controlled). From what I see of the Roundhouse products, this seems to be the case. The Lady Jane is the loco I'm thinking about. Having driven trains all my life (in Australia) and now approaching retirement my argument to the wife is "if I can't drive them anymore, at least I can play with them" (ha ha). Thanks again...Larry

  • @LMatters1 - Hi Larry, the Roundhouse Lady Anne is a fantastic loco, I have had a few, infact sold one recently!! All Roundhouse loco's run perfectly but the Lady Anne is an all round star. Check out my railway at GardenTrain.co.uk - Keith.

  • what train is it and how do you set the remote control up

  • @zapdo77 - Steam Engine made by Roundhouse Engineering (UK) it comes with miniature servo's and onboard 2.4ghz r/c fitted, you control it with a handset similar to those used to drive r/c cars. You can of course buy the engine without r/c and drive it like a full size one via the regulator.

  • Subbed. Great video. Liked the Roundhouse locomotives. Check out the indoor live steam Kent & North Wales Light Railway.

  • @music1radio Thank you for this information! I'm building my first garden railroad.

  • @sterrso219 - the railway uses pea gravel which is pretty easy to pick up in most garden centres or diy sheds although not authentic in colour and is a tad oversized to be authentic too. On my own railway i use 5mm limestone chippings.
