I was playing the hand-written 1st tpt part in this video - written WAY before you were old enough to use a potty...

anybody besides me think that was a very very quiet bair solo, considering it usally is the loudest one to solo?

@richfanning That was my favorite version of Woody's band, too, Rich! Dave Stahl played lead just before Jeff took over and he wailed as well. As a matter of fact, he took a shot at Allen Vizzutti's Fire Dance, when I saw them - I think in 1974 or 1975 and he did a pretty good job. - Mark Schwartz

This same band played at my high school in early '76. I'm a trumpeter player and I was so impressed with the trumpet section, especially Dennis Dotson's solos and Jeff Davis's lead playing. They were all playing Benge trumpets and 2 years later, I bought one myself. Great band! Great memories!

Love this, thank you! Check out all the big collars and hair!
A nice clip, indeed. I think the soloists are, in order: Joe Lovano, unknown bari, unknown tenor, Frank Tiberi. Could you please upload more from this concert?

Check out Reunion At Newport. And actually the sax soloists are... Gary Anderson, Jon Oslawski, Sal Spicola and Frank Tiberi. Sorry for any name misspellings.
