I turned on the news last night for 5 minutes, right during a part where they were talking about a potential recovery. The lady doing the news had the funniest smirk on her face like she couldn't believe what she was reading from the teleprompter.

We're talking about high level government officials here, though. They've got access to YouTube and other means of figuring out what the USA is up to. You seriously think the internet is a secret? You think what you say here can't be found by the Chinese? Come on. They know exactly what's going on in the US. The entire world knows. Everybody's just pretending they don't know, and pretending they don't know that everybody else knows, and so on. It's a big joke. Get it. :)

I totally agree with you man but the main question remains.
what are they waiting for? why they don't just say "ok people we are fucked, but hey we've had a good run". many people would say this will only cause chaos and panic but to me it will be good news 'cause we cannot fix this mess anyway so it means we are moving forward, right?

Tariffs on Japanese cars brought jobs to America
Tariffs on other things will do the same thing
the only reason Japanese cars are built in America is because of tariffs that were put on the products in the 70's and 80's
China makes nothing Americans need it s all plastic shit slap them with tariffs
and build what you need in America.
America is over as the dollar slides they will be forced into the North American Union
or be faced with an Argentina style melt down.

Ummm, the US need to import heavily to sustain itself. High tarriffs on all imports would be a disaster. It would be good news for the rest of the world though...

America can be fixed inside of a week by slapping hefty tariffs on all imports
