microsoft did'nt make silverlight alone

I work on a PC and MAC. PC at work. Mac at home. I'm what you would call computer agnostic. However I do believe in open standards but what Microsoft is doing, is again attempting to angle the market, then control it. Then innovation stops. It happened with Windows. They can't be trusted. For me the less Microsoft software I use the better.

But why Silverlight will work with Macs and later with Linux too?

Silverlight is just another Microsoft attempt to dominate the net. They'll try and Silverlight files a standard, then force their JPEG killer (metro) as well as WMA down our throats. No thanks, I'll stick with FLASH.

If you love open standard, then why do you stick w/ Flash then? Last time I check Flash is not an open format, and Adobe is known as an "Evil Empire" wannabe (if they are not one already).
