Snow in today so thought I'd make a MacBook Pro Tablet. Couldn't wait any longer for apple to do. It works would have been nice if it was multi touch.
Made using a
Macbook Pro 2.33 2GB Ram 120GB Harddisk.
egalax touchscreen
and some Duck Tape

I dislike the idea of having to hook up a cintiqwx to my laptop, as that's not really portable, and I dislike replacing my laptop with a slate because I still need to write a lot

Is there any way I could replace my laptop's monitor with one that could function as a graphics tablet? That is, somehow rotate and close the laptop with the screen exposed to use as a sketchbook?
.
And no I don't want a modbook because then I'd have to bundle a keyboard. That defeats the purpose of combining the two.

i have two question how did you turn the mac on without using your power button and how did you wire the LVDS cable into the top of the keyboard. you are awesome man

man i really respect what you did with your mbp. iam a mac junky i have four units. i would like to do this to my macbook pro but can find a egalax touchscreen anywhere. if i find one is it possible for you to give instruction on how to set this up i would really be thankful for your help

hey man, where can I get one of those egalax touchscreens? I am interested in doing the same thing as you, but I am not sure which touchscreen to use.

@norwegia2112 I brought it off ebay from easyworldwidetrading. I have found that the egalax driver/software works better on OSX than other touch screen software.
