TVS Journalist Lu Yaoyao Attacked Violently 南方電視台記者路遙遙被襲擊

Time: afternoon, October 19th, 2011
Place: an illegal parking lot in No.1 Hequn Road, near "Dongshan Little House" in Yuexiu District, Guangzhou
Relevant persons: 3 persons working in the lot, and Lu Yaoyao, TVS journalist
Description: Lu Yaoyao, journalist of TVS News Center, was attacked while interviewing some relevant persons working in an illegal parking lot in No.1 Hequn Road. Three unidentified person laid siege to Yaoyao, throwing at him a chair and a long tripod. Though Yaoyao restrained himself, those three were still chasing him and pinched his leg! Finally Lu Yaoyao was badly injured and sent to the hospital for first aid. The wound, on Yaoyao's forehead, is 3 centimeters long, and his forhead is stitched with 4 needles. Fortunately he is now conscious and under medical treatment. The 2 attackers have been summoned to the police station and under police investigation. With further investigation by our journalist, that parking lot belongs to the subdistrict office!

Something further: the 2 attackers have been identified. The stout one in white is named Chen Jinglai(陳景來), and the strong one in purple Wu Jianxin(吳劍鑫). They were later sentenced 10-day administrative detention and RMB500 fine.
