  • That is not right. You do not use small pieces of bread. You use a whole slice and let the bread over lap the iron maker. When your sandwich is done cooking all the sides should be sealed like a pie. You can cut off the crust before cooking or let it burn off into the fire. What you made is a mess to eat. Your pudgie should look like a pocket. When you eat it the insides will not drip on to your hands.

  • Either way what you end up with is delicous

  • I love reubens, and I'm a huge fan of pie iron cookery, but it's beyond me why anyone would think that you would need "salt to taste" on that sandwich. Corned beef, cheese and sauerkraut are all super high in salt, with the corned beef in that sandwich alone probably giving you about twice the sodium you're supposed to have for a whole day. I'm not going to preach healthy diet here, but unless you've got lead poisoning (which messes with your sense of taste)you shouldn't think it needs salt.

  • @gravtex Well said my friend...

  • Ooook... JUST LIKE JAMES SAID... YOU USE WHOLE PIECES OFBREAD! and second of all if your cooking yours 30 seconds on each side your obviously not getting the center hot enough you moron... FOR ONE COMING FROM A PERSON WHO OWNS A CAMP... YOU DO NOT I REPEAT! DO NOT USE BUTTER IT BURNS LIKE AN ASIAN WHORE SO YOU END UP TAKING IT OUT WAY TO EARLY! THIS IS WHY REAL CAMPERS WHO KNOW HOW TO MAKE PUDGIE PIES DO EVEN THINK ABOUT USING THAT SHIT NOR CALL IT A PIE IRON YOU CITY GIRL...

  • 2:47 someone gets shot

  • As noted in the other comments, this camp cook is seriously challenged! Way too tedious piecing bits of small bread together, and you certainly don't need to add salt to anything that has sauerkraut.

  • Sorry, but I have to agree with jamesconrad61. A pudgie pie should have some sort of seal to it so that the contents do not fall out. You wouldn't even be able to pick that sandwich up b/c the bread is cut up. you'd have to eat it with a fork. I'm sure it is delicious, but it's not going to be easy to eat.

  • it looks like its going to blow up when u eat it...
