Although it has been 40 years since man first stepped on the moon, ASU professor and lunar expert Mark Robinson says it's a surprise there is no human activity there now.
Robinson is leading NASA's Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter team, an effort to map the surface of the Moon. The findings will help NASA pick a location for a return visit.
We didn't go back because we went out of sequence? That's like saying we continued to walk because the car came too soon. These eggheads are a joke. We never went to the moon, period. That's why we haven't "been back".

adeon55..I completely agree with you..it was during WWII that the greatest scientific breakthroughs happened..whether it was in medicine , weapons , or transportation, war and competition are the reasons we are so advanced..

crawler: "all growth and real connections are made coming from a place of peace and love"
Actually, historically, that couldn't be further from the truth. Just about all of our greatest innovations, technological breakthroughs, and yes, endeavors into the great beyond, including the moon landing, have come about as a result of competition, conflict, and war, or the preparation for it.

why do we need to be leaders and beat china?? aren't we all from the same earth?? if we are to make "progress" in space shouldn't we explore as a unified earth. makes no sense to me. all growth and real connections are made coming from a place of peace and love.

I hope i live long enough to see this kind of feat achieved on Mars, if we're to survive as a species then Mars has to be the next stop!
Watching this footage still sends shivers down my spine though, amazing:)
