Licensed under Creative Commons, so feel free to post wherever...just make sure there's a link a back here. ;-) Thanks.

Thanks again to everyone. I hope you enjoy it.

P.S. I'm not in anyway affiliated with Canonical, and I am not an avid Ubuntu fanboy...but I do feel that this operating system has the support and the user base to make waves in the consumer market. I don't want to start any sort of "distro war" in the comments section; I use a myriad of distros and they are all fantastic at what they do best. I'm just putting this out there for people who have never seen/heard of Linux before. (Huh, I didn't actually mention it was Linux did I???) That's because "Linux" sounds to nerdy to me. ;-) Enjoy everybody...
Peace out.

Quick update...I tried to set it to creative commons, but unfortunately my YouTube partner contract terms don't allow creative commons. Sorry y'all.

Well of course it gets override since its Linux, but you don't need such apps. When I had Windows 7 on my laptop which was brand new. The battery promised me 4 hours maximum but it only was 2 and a half hours.. With Ubuntu it gave me at least 5 hours with full charge to the battery. I watched 4 movies in a row (matrix, animatrix, reloaded and revolutions) and still had over an hour left before I needed recharge.

Are there battery saving techniques? Like for example, if a Windows computer comes with native battery saving applications, does this become override or something?

I think the city landscape is rather depressing and dark. Ubuntu is about humanity and freedom, why not show nature, happy people interacting, and sunshiny days. The message is positive on a rational level, on an emotional, subconscious level it is not, if you combine it with gloomy pictures.

This was 1 year ago, the current release at the time was 10.10. Open office was default until 11.04.
