Nice, I drive a 70hp Yam too, seems to be very nice engines.

Had a 60 hp Yamaha, same basic engine as the 70.
RACED it for 4 years (organised racing), sunk it once, lost a propeller blade which shattered the cavitation plate (Which was just fill-welded back in!) and it NEVER gave up!
Fantastic engines!

I have a 90 hp jet drive, happy to see it flies like a 70 hp (spec's say it should run like a 65 hp, I used to love merc's, now I love my Yamaha, especially the jetdrive on the river, amazing technology! Cheers.

used to have a yam 70, they arnt pretty, they aint quite, they smoke a tiny bit, but they are SOLDIERS, and they will get you home, every time.

Nice. I got a 115 yamaha four stroke and it seems like yours goes faster.

It pushes my 17 foot flats boat at about 40 mph, but I am about to put a bigger prop on it so it should run close to 50 mph.
