Imagine the industry needs to make the MOVIE in order to profit. Plus, it will be one less red meat for corrupt politicians to sink their teeth into. Thus, one less reason to tax us for.

One is noW we both hv copies. Plus plz see TED presentation by Johanna Blakely to see how industry looks like without copyrights (fashion) & the other obsessed with making sharing a crime (hollywood). One is more competitive & lucrative. Imagine how much popular movies could be without copyrights. Imagine industry needs to make the next money in order to profit. They hv every right to make copying hard by technology if they wish to squander their wealth that way. But copying is not crime.

Agree about dodd but cordially disagree about piracy. Its copying not stealing. Big difference. One is not we both hv copies. The other one is missing what the other took. Please read argument by stephen kinsella. Why r we so blatantly helping the industry make more money by making sharing a crime?! Let them make money for releasing performance first but not be so obsessed with allowing creators to rest on their laurels.

Ive always wondered. Within the US system of government, how does the legislature determine which 'political donations' are made soley to induce a favourable result for the donor and which are not? Why would a company donate at all unless it was to be favouably positioned with the incumbent government. I know if someone was paying me I would give that person priorty over the person who is not. Which is why when i wake up in the morning I go to my job, and not yours!

@MovieBlogTV as I said, I'm not saying it isn't wrong behavior, I believe it is wrong just as much as you. I just don't agree with the terminology.

@MovieBlogTV What's your opinion about the OPEN act?

Does anyone know what's happening with that ACTA law?

You not stealing it. You sharing the files to people to be friendly. Is something wrong with sharing files?
Using something for free that was made for sale can't be called stealing, by the definition of stealing. Stealing is taking something for someone, and leaving them without it.
If piracy should be against the law, that's another question. By your arguments you could say that.
But I don't think the use of the word "steal" is correct.
For the rest of the video, I pretty much agree with you.

@marcelovdo It absolutely is stealing. You're taking something subversively for free what was created for and intended for sale. You take it without permission. That is stealing. Any other "definition" is just an attempt to excuse the obviously wrong behavior.
