  • @kakashi76767 Lol....good one. but no I'm not angry that he could not hit a fastball. As I said I am not angry at all...what I found distasteful was Kruk's pathetic swing and his nonchalant attitude about it. He was part of a trend that saw the All Star Game go from a competitive game to one that had more in common with a spring training matchup. In any case the game is no longer competitive nor fun. The sad part is that it is no longer worth complaining about.

  • @Paulmancieri67 so.... you are angry that John Kruk can't hit a 100 mph fastball? Shouldn't you be mad at randy johnson too, since he threw a wild pitch? I guess some people will complain about anything.

  • @kakashi76767 and had some meaning given that the league's did not play each other during the year. There were bragging rights at stake and it was a big deal. Kruks actions degraded the game. That was my point and yours that people will complain about anything was flip and condescending. Hence, my reply. Now that is the End.

  • @kakashi76767 OK so here was my point. The game itself at one time was competitive, players especially from the National League took it seriously and played the game as though it had a lot of meaning (and it did, especially for black and Latino players who thought the A.L. owners were racist). I thought Kruk playing it up for yuks was disgraceful given the fact that 1. fans pay a lot of money to see the game. 2. The game had been a showcase for the best players. cont...

  • @Paulmancieri67 I don't see how "some people will complain about anything" is idiotic or insulting. All bets are off because I typed that? what does that mean? are you going to track me down and kill me? LOL Here are the facts. This is a video of John Kruk having fun at an all star game. You complained about this. I was surprised someone would complain about this any typed "some people will complain about anything". You were so offended by this that you called me an idiot. The end.

  • @kakashi76767 Well truth be told, it was an idiotic comment. I wasn't mad or cursing, just pointing that out. If you want to have a conversation about what I said about the game then let's do that. If you want to make comments about "how people will complain about anything" well then all bet are off.

  • @Paulmancieri67 Oh ok. See it seemed like you were mad because you were cursing and calling me an "idiot", but I'm guess you were not mad after all. That must be the way you always express yourself. I understand now.

  • @kakashi76767 lol....of course I'm not mad. These are all "just" games. But, fans do pay a lot of money to see these "just" games and my point was that they should play to win. That is all. No big deal, I just like to see good competition and great players giving it their all.

  • @Paulmancieri67 U mad bro? LOL you do realize it is just a game right?

  • @kakashi76767 Oh jeez here we go again. An idiotic poster complaining about a point being made. What I said was true, even the players themselves admitted it later on that the game became less significant around this time. Get over yourself will ya.
