The World Space Party is a celebration of humanity's achievements in space! Yuri's Night connects people with each other, their dreams and spaceship earth.
Yuri's Night is a celebration of humanity's achievements in space. Each April 12, people from around the world come together to mark the anniversary of Yuri Gagarin's first flight into space (in 1961) and the first launch of the US Space Shuttle (in 1981). Events around the world vary from rock concerts to public outreach family events that bring our world together to globally celebrate our past - and our future - in outer space! In 2010 there were 222 parties in 67 countries in 7 continents on 2 "worlds".
2010 was the 10th Annual Yuri's Night and the Global Executive Team collected video messages from around the world, posted on our website http://yurisnight.net/, on iTunes and broadcasted as part of our global webcast on April 10, 2010.
