Its quite different to watch him make the placements, and then to pause and work backwards to figure out how he made them. Unlike any other video or tute where one always starts with the empty space and then logically moves forward. I find this way more fun and maybe even more educational.

There is already a 1 and an 8 as a pair in R5C89 (written in his pencilmarks). That blocks those 2 squares leaving a unique spot for the 2 in R4C7

I agree.How did he know to put the 2 beside the 3 and 6 in the right middle block?What negated the 2 being in either of the two squares beside the 9 in that same block
