  • @dissident93 Exactly.

  • @Adam060756 Some of the songs in the demo were slower than the final release. Does it mean it was meant to be slow? Dunno.

All we got is that the both regions got the same Sonic 2. With different music from the beta.

  • @dissident93 Very true but it doesn't necessarily mean that the audio has to be fast paced as proven right here with the Sonic 2 demos. I'm used to 50Hz so me hearing them at 60Hz gives me the impression that it's fast paced (a little too fast) just as your used to 60Hz and hearing them at 50Hz sounds weird.

I'm personally very happy that Sonic 2's demos are a bit slower as it will make people think twice about whether the music has to be fast or not. And these are from Nakamura himself.

  • @Adam060756 It's definitely down to nostalgia. I never agreed with the music of Sonic having to be fast, but Sonic himself was created for that sole reason. His name is named after speed "Supersonic", so maybe that's what they mean.

  • @dissident93 I am mate, i'm just getting my personal revenge on everybody for the shit they've posted on every European Sonic 1 video and i'm just making a point that Sonic music doesn't have to be fast paced to be in a Sonic game because i've read countless times from users saying that ''Sonic music has to be fast''.

To be honest I do like these demos even so at 60Hz just like LittleMichaelz but I still personally prefer these at 50Hz, whether thats down to nostalgia or not.

  • @Adam060756 IF they were in terms of clock rates, then I guess so. But I thought you were tired of the debates?

  • @dissident93 I was right all along.

This one, the ending and the Title Screen theme play at 55Hz, Spring Yard demo plays at 57Hz while all the others play at 60Hz.

  • @LittleMichaelz My favorite Sonic boss theme is this one.

  • @Adam060756 Now you ARE right on this one. This does sound like forced 55hz, that I have done before.

    Sounds cool though!

  • No boss theme can possibly compete with the fucked santa! Still sounds very good, though. Hehe. :)
