  • These subs do hit pretty hard for tens, mine flex the doors and back wall of my truck a bit.

But anyway, what I was going to as is what camera are you using? or what cameras do you think are good for audio and bass...because my current one sucks

  • @redZ400 My car does NOT flex, only thing that I would say flex in back door as you can see from other vids.

Well this is friends camera, I got Panasonic FZ100, but I don't know how it does so far, no vids yet, maybe this weekend. What I would say is, find one that it doesn't get quiet when bass hits, and it doesn't crack the sound, that's about it, every camera will distort

  • @first2ner thats why most amps have a gain level on them:)

  • @sonibyrd711

Gain is based on input voltage from HU, so it can be small if you have line driver or something, anyway, as long as you don't clip the signal, any gain is ok, its just better to have it low coz of the noise performance

  • @redZ400 you never do that, amp must always be more powerful then subs

also RMS rating is not what you look for, since my are 450w (not the last generation of subs) and can "put" 1200w RMS amp on each and don't get even warm

If I would look at amps specs and compared to the ones of subs, I would have 1500w RMS more then I should on them, but still its not enough power, funny eh?

Send me PM, will tell you how you should look at specs with DD

  • @First2ner I looked up the sub specs and they said 500rms, which means i would need 1000w for two of them. But i looked through all of the amps dd has and there are no 500w or 1000w ones.. which means i would be overpowered or very underpowered. I might just have to look at other amp brands. And do you mean wired at 1ohm? because i was told the dd's are unstable at that.

  • @redZ400

Depends on what that amp was, but I don't think I wouldn't go less then one m1a or m1b or similar, to two of this subs (wired at 1)

Your dealer could be right, coz a lot of people (could be you too), don't know, how should I say this.. care maybe? as long as they have max volume on everything, they are happy...you can put a lot of power on subs, if you do things the right way

  • These sound nice. I was recommended these subs today by the DD dealer, but the DD amps are throwing me off. He said to run an 800w amp(1)..so will my two subs be very underpowered? Any advice would be great.

  • on a real not do u guys think that two of these would hit harder than 2 solo baric l5 12's with a hifonics 1500 watt pushing em?
