I don't know anymore..I can't find peace within myself...I ve tried everything ..maybe Im not genetically wired to be peaceful within myself...It sad but I ve come to that conclusion and all hope is dwindled...goodluck to those of you have that peace.

Bunch of morons ! Clapping not knowing why! They don't listen to what he has to say, for them its just another day of bullshit talking and paper work. The man spent all his life to the ideas of Dhamma and they just think of him as a clown from some countryside in India giving cheap speech... on how to become a balanced with your mind and soul... rather than debating for weeks : where we should send international forces next..Iraq, Afghanistan etc. Long live Goenka !

@NYGLTBJ You don't seem to get it. The peace Goenka is talking about is such that you can remain at peace even if some crazy stabs you. Said crazy might feel good while he's doing the stabbing, but the agitation will start again soon; no peace for him.

this speech was not to the UN you morons. It was too "spiritual" leaders. They were gonna stand and clap for anything he said.
Talking to the actual UN would have involved no clapping just staring.
In the Summer of 2000, Mr. Goenka, the principal teacher of Vipassana Meditation visited the United States and spoke, along with other world spiritual leaders, at the "Millennium World Peace Summit" at the United Nations World Headquarters in New York.
