@Natsukaze Then call me Floria Tosca, I live and die for art! If I was LESS than par I would never be on stage. I take the art VERY SERIOUSLY. I have been dancing since 1979! It was my soul that I found! I graduated from Med School in 1978; love my patients, but this is the real me! I have a live and let live attitude about the dance, but I will defend it. IT is too much fun!!!

@molarmama5 I dont know why you think I should give you a break or why you say sheesh, but I was taught to respect my elders and women, so you get double respect! Im glad to hear you are active and enjoying yourself.

@Natsukaze Oh please! I am 59, sheesh, give me a break, I can keep up with my teacher whom just happens to be Rachel's age. I have been dancing this way since 1979!
I hope to keep belly dancing until they place me in a coffin!

The Queen is coming!
@bellydancerocks321 Don't listen to shirocaine ^__^ There is no age limit on belly dance. As long as you enjoy dancing, you should be dancing. Dancing isn't necessarily to please any onlooker. It's to please the dancer. If a dancer doesn't enjoy her dance, she isn't dancing, she's moving around. ^__^ And age doesn't dictate whether or not a dance will be enjoyed by another. I've seen amazing belly dance by people well over 60 and poor performances from 20 somethings. Keep dancing! Best wishes!

I am in my mid 40's and there are days when I think I am too old to bellydance. Then, I see this beautiful performer, who is in her 40's, maybe a little younger, and I toss those negative thoughts to the wind and start dancing.
