Now things are getting interesting! First I show you the finished product (actually the WIP so far, more development needs to be done). Then I go over a quick review of how I approached setup of a FPS player system based on the planning I did in video 01 of this series (see, planning IS important!).
I also go over some of my code, you get to see a couple of my scripts based on Unity Script. In reality there's thousands of lines of code that make everything you see work, and there's still hundreds of thousands of lines of more code I have to write, and I'll get it all complete eventually :)
Finally I show some quick special effects I add to the weapon firing mechanics, like muzzle flash, which is composed of a 3 part particle system, dynamic lighting, tracer fire effects, and even ejecting shell casings flying out of the weapon when firing. At the end I show some very short stuff with the zombies, in particular a custom shader written by my bud, and most brilliant software engineer I have ever known. He actually also programmed the shader on the lens of the EoTech Holographic Sight on the M4A1, among other custom shaders he wrote. He also helped answering a bunch of programming questions I had cuz I'm such a noob lol. Thanks Jonathan.
It's important to note, that unlike working with something like UDK, in Unity, practically nothing is done for you, so I had to design all the systems you see, including a character system for the player, all the way to special effects, like the impact system that makes bullets impact stuff and make cool sparks, bullet holes, damage, etc. on environment stuff. It's more challenging, but that much funner :D

  • Hey I rly like this! I kinda wrote I script like the firing part but ur's has some features I dnt have. Is there somewhere I can watch this without it sped up? Or even with audio? That would be so awesome! cuz ur rly good at what you do! and some of the stuff u did I've been trying to do for ages. If you can't supply the tutorial (which I RLY hope u can) can u give me another place I can learn? Somewhere you learned perhaps?

  • @jacobandyahudashow Hi, glad you liked it. Unfortunately, this isn't something I teach in a tutorial or picked up from a tutorial either. It's all mostly code I created from scratch. If you understand game logic and you're a seasoned programmer, it should be very easy to replicate this game behavior. I'm afraid it is too advanced of a topic however, and you won't find a tutorial online that teaches exactly how to accomplish this.

  • wow, i am impressed. congratulations

i am interior designer and i have a small notion of 3ds max do you think you can help me improve? and my wife she wants a kind of animation in her website. so send a email and we can talk about.

  • @massarde9591 Hi, thanks again for the kind words. If you would like to learn more on how to use 3dsMax for production, please have a look at our site.

As an interior designer, these training titles will definitely help you out and are full very valuable information and instruction.

I am available for freelance work, if you're interested in hiring me for a contract, please let me know. I provide a lot of computer graphics services.

  • You are really amazing...how long takes to design this whole thing and if you can tell me, have you been in school to learn do thins things? you are really a inspiration to me.

    sorry about my english

  • @massarde9591

Thanks for the kind words, it's really humbling. To do all this stuff is only a few months worth of work. I am completely self thought, didn't go to school for this. Now I teach people to work in computer graphics.

  • @i3dtutorials Well can u post that same vid again except not sped up?

  • Try scale the gun up a bit, it will look more like cod (any other fps in that case) then!

  • haha, its funny how you haven't used a hide mouse cursor script yet, because thats about the first thing i did.

  • @i3dtutorials Many thanks for you answer. i will check your website.

about my wife website is just a small introduction kind of animation in 3d that i could insert in her website. i would like a butterfly flying around in a busy polluted, stressed city which then makes it journey through some doors where it peacefully relaxes and unwinds in a natural environment. it is for a intro page for a beauty website.i hope this makes sense as this is just a quick explanation about what it is that i want.

  • Fantastic love it keep up the great work :)
