Eric Lindros is a beast and if only if he skated with his head up because the Flyers would have been a dynasty with him! He would have easily have broken Gretzky's records because with his talent no one could have stopped him! He was the main reason the Legion of Doom was so great and because of him John LeClair scored 50 goals 3 consecutive seasons with the Flyers! The man could score, assist, and fight no one else could do it like him!

@Wad7915 There's no more appropriate term for Stevens than coward.As a matter of fact I casually call him piece of shit for that hit.I respect what he accomplished as a defenseman,he undoubtedly deserves to be in HHOF.But that garbage he pulled off that night,disgusting.Good for Lindros for saying that,he has never disappointed me as a player and as a person.Ever.I don't care for European players in the NHL at all except very few of them.

@88BigEtrain - well at least I would't term Stevens 'a coward'. He's had numerous fights during his NHL career and won the general respect from other NHLers. Too bad that Lindros didn't check his words about others - maybe that's why he paid this price for his speeches. I, for one, remember how back in 1996 he declared war on all Russians. That's unsporstmanlike IMHO

@Wad7915-- meh, in the fights eric got the best of him, there battles where all time classics though, you dont really have that anymore in the game, i mean of course i still watch the flyers and the nhl and there still plenty of great action,fights and hits, but the old players rivalries are kinda gone, i mean we all knew whenever we played new jersey devils, it was going to be a war but we also knew there was always the side battle of eric and stevens to watch out for too

haha dorny with the classic commentary!, keith jones and bill clement are good color guys but i miss the jj dorny duo, this team was so much fun to watch, when big e was truely a force to reckon with, this was from the playoffs, right?
