Earth Hour 2008 New York

Supporting Earth Hour 2008 in Times Square, New York. Check out Coca Cola's & Bank of America's billboards. Earth Hour is an annual international event created by the WWF (World Wide Fund for Nature/World Wildlife Fund), held on the last Saturday of March, that asks households and businesses to turn off their non-essential lights and electrical appliances for one hour to raise awareness towards the need to take action on climate change. It was pioneered by WWF Australia and the Sydney Morning Herald in 2007, and achieved worldwide participation in 2008.

EXACTLY, SMALL TOWNS, less people means less people to encourage to do it, the bigger the city, the harder it is to encourage people, btw the building next to the tall one in the middle on the left is the new bank of america building it is LEED Platinum certified, the first skyscraper EVER to be LEED platinum certified, meaning it emits zero CO2, it even harvests rainwater, so stop spreading hate about the great NYC, that building actually cleans the air

I was in Times Sq. Hugely disappointing participation in "lights out".

Congratulations to Nasdaq and Coke for going dark and also to ABC/Disney & Siemens. Shame on Pepsi, Foot Locker, and Macy's--their LED panel kept right on blazing.
